La Línea de la Concepción, se encuentra situada al sur de España y de Europa.
La Velada y Fiestas de La Línea se celebra desde hace 138 años y es la fiesta más importante del Campo de Gibraltar. Tiene una duración de 10 días, comenzando siempre un viernes y contando siempre con el día 20 de Julio como festivo, al ser el día del Aniversario de La Línea. Cuenta con dos fines de semana, siendo el primero donde se concentran los actos de coronación, cabalgata y domingo rociero.
Sin duda el mes de Julio es el mejor de todo el año para venir a La Línea y disfrutar de una ciudad en fiestas. Puedes visitar Gibraltar y entrar en un mundo cercano y distinto. Disfrutar de unas playas envidiables con 14 kilómetros a tu disposición o recorrer tanto la Costa del Sol o la Costa de la Luz, a pocos kilómetros en coche.
Son 150.000 metros cuadrados de calles, 1 millón de luces, casetas, atraciones y miles de personas que hacen de “La Salvaora”, así la llamaban los feriantes porque salvaban la temporada con lo que ingresaban aquí, algo único.
¿DONDE ESTÁ?
La Feria de La Línea está situada en dos amplias avenidas y en el recinto ferial situado junto a la verja de Gibraltar.
Entrando desde la Avenida del Ejército a través de la portada, se accede a una primera avenida en la cual se situan los típicos puestos con todo tipo de cosas a la venta. Otra zona es la parte de las tómbolas, que se situa en la Avenida Principe de Asturias y que es la otra calle principal del recinto. Luego tenemos la zona de casetas y como no, la “calle del infierno” o zona donde se situan las atracciones.
La zona de “cacharros” se estructura básicamente en dos calles bien diferenciadas, una más ancha y otra de menos dimensiones que llega hasta la zona de casetas llamada “Paseo de la Velada”.
